Sous Chef

to prepare meals and achieve food service objectives by implementing menus and controlling food preparation and sanitation in all areas of food service. Shift details:

Sunday through Thursday. Sunday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM; Monday - Thursday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM. End time varies slightly. Responsibilities

Ensure department is ready to serve food as scheduled. Coordinate and prepare for dinner meal service by following the production sheet and preparing all hot foods as necessary for the Cafe, Cadbury dining room, and Health Care dining areas. Continually batch cooking to maintain a high quality product while minimizing leftovers. Prepare for special meals and catering functions. Maintain department sanitation. Assist with kitchen scheduling needs by covering any vacant shifts on an as needed basis Qualifications

At least 5 years of cooking experience including 2 years of supervisory experience required. Must be capable of obtaining ServSafe sanitation certification. Must be familiar with production sheets, recipe books, and professional cook books.
