Regents School of Austin is seeking a part-time 7th-12th Grade Choir Director. The candidate should be a committed Christian who appreciates music and is dedicated to helping improve and build our distinctly classical choral program. The individual should have strong interpersonal skills to recruit and inspire student artists in our choral program. Employment type: Part-time. Role Summary
Regents School of Austin seeks a part-time 7th-12th Grade Choir Director who will lead choral ensembles, plan and direct performances, and collaborate with the Fine Arts faculty to nurture a faith-centered, excellence-driven choral program. Responsibilities
Teaching in light of classical pedagogy with backward design Preparing the choirs for performances in fall and spring Planning a choral music tour every other year Seeing the classroom as an opportunity to disciple students for Christ Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Experience mentoring and developing meaningful relationships with middle school and high school students At least three years of relevant classroom experience; experience with classical education or Christian education Christian maturity that demonstrates a desire to learn and a capacity to create a healthy classroom environment Experience in the development of a program in a private school setting
