Overview
Summary/Purpose of the Position: TestEquity is seeking an Account Manager to develop new business, stimulate sales growth of existing and new accounts, manage all region leads, onboard new customers, and sell the entire range of products and services. This role is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through the retention and expansion of revenue at current customers and acquiring new customers within their defined territory geography. The Account Manager is expected to build, identify, and implement strategies that enable growth, as well as provide value, solutions, and technical support for their customers.
Ideal candidates will reside in or around Cleveland, OH, but we are open to candidates in the surrounding cities as well. You will be required to visit customers in person throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Qualify new sales leads
Build relationships within the contact base and professionally represent the Company\'s brands
Drive customer growth by partnering to deliver proactive solutions that meet customer needs
Demonstrate products to customers
Coordinate order management activities: order entry, contract review, on-time delivery, inventory maintenance, special handling, product specification updates, returns, and other customer-related activities
Engage in re-activation campaigns within a region to re-engage dormant accounts
Collaborate with internal and external resources to identify customer needs, cost savings opportunities, competitive threats, and revenue enhancement opportunities
Develop and monitor sales plans to achieve annual account-level goals
Apply ongoing product education to the customer experience and become a prime resource through technical value and problem solving
Coordinate with vendor partners as necessary to enhance solution selling capacity
Operate effectively in a team selling environment
Maintain and expand a growing opportunity funnel for the assigned territory
Understand industry trends affecting customers and relate trends to customer opportunities; communicate a compelling vision to support strategic initiatives
Establish good relationships with customers and teams; build wide networks
Focus on customer needs and satisfaction; resolve issues quickly and achieve project goals
Continually develop products and technical knowledge in support of the customer base
Perform timely follow-up on quotes and inquiries
Monitor key performance indicators to identify gaps in profitability or service levels; work with cross-functional resources to resolve
Schedule in-person visits with customers as needed
Record and maintain all customer-related and sales activity information in the CRM for a 360-degree view
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred
2+ years of industrial sales experience preferred
2 years of electronics distribution experience preferred
Familiarity with CRM
Sales pipeline/funnel management, a plus
Advanced skill in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid driver\'s license and ability to travel often is required
Daily/Weekly travel visits to existing and potential customer sites
Majority of work performed outside of the home branch office environment
Attendance at a variety of business meetings as required
Disciplined, diligent, and customer-focused with the ability to meet sales goals
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Good interpersonal, time management, and presentation skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely perform essential job functions in accordance with applicable standards and meet productivity expectations
Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance
