Summary/Purpose of the Position: TestEquity is seeking an
Account Manager
to develop new business, stimulate sales growth of existing and new accounts, manage all region leads, onboard new customers, and sell the entire range of products and services. This role is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through the retention and expansion of revenue at current customers and acquiring new customers within their defined territory geography. Account Managers are expected to build, identify, and implement strategies that enable growth, as well as provide value, solutions, and technical support for their customers.
Location: Ideal candidates will reside in or around Indianapolis, IN, but we are open to candidates in surrounding cities. You will be required to visit customers in person throughout the year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualify new sales leads
Build relationships within contact base and represent the Company’s brands professionally
Drive customer growth by providing proactive solutions
Demonstrate products to customers effectively
Coordinate order management activities
Engage in re-activation campaigns for dormant accounts
Collaborate to identify customer needs and opportunities
Develop and monitor sales plans to meet goals
Educate customers on products and technical solutions
Call on vendor partners as needed
Operate effectively in a team selling environment
Maintain a robust opportunity funnel
Understand industry trends and develop strategic initiatives
Establish and maintain good customer and team relationships
Focus on customer satisfaction and issue resolution
Expand product and technical knowledge
Follow up on quotes and inquiries
Monitor KPIs and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
Schedule in-person visits as needed
Record all sales activity in CRM
Ensure product quality
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years of industrial sales experience preferred
Experience with electronics distribution preferred
Familiarity with CRM systems
Proficiency in MS Office
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential job functions safely
Regular and timely attendance
