Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aspires to grow into a sales role. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience supporting sales teams, managing CRM systems, and working through lead and quoting processes. This position plays a key role in qualifying leads, managing quote requests, verifying customer information, and routing opportunities to the appropriate sales personnel within our global distributor network.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and route inbound leads to the appropriate sales team member based on territory, product line, or opportunity type.
Create and send accurate quotes for current customers, ensuring pricing, lead times, and configurations are properly aligned.
Set up new customers in the system, verifying all contact and business details before routing to the appropriate salesperson.
Maintain and update CRM records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness for all leads, contacts, and opportunities.
Track and follow up on open quotes and leads to ensure timely conversion and provide updates to sales team members.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless handoffs and a consistent customer experience.
Support reporting and tracking of sales metrics, quote activity, and pipeline movement.
Assist with sales campaigns, outbound prospecting initiatives, and follow-up communication as needed.
Key Qualifications
2+ years in a sales support, sales coordinator, or inside sales role within a B2B or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and quoting tools.
Understanding of the lead-to-order sales cycle including lead capture, qualification, quoting, and close.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with confidence engaging both customers and internal stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys supporting sales growth and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a global distribution network or working with international customers.
Knowledge of ERP systems and customer onboarding processes.
Demonstrated interest in growing into an outside or inside sales role.
