Outside Sales Representative - Residential Trade
Ferguson is seeking a Residential Trade Outside Sales Representative to support customers in the St. Louis and Metro East area. This is a field-based sales role with a stable base list of accounts to start and the opportunity to grow sales quickly. Base plus commission eligible; estimated total compensation range is $75,000 - $120,000+ based on performance and experience. Location:
St. Louis area (St. Louis or Metro East); travel will be required. A fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone & laptop will be provided. Reports to:
Senior Sales Manager Position details:
This is a full-time, on-site role in the Residential Trade segment within Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company serving multiple industries. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, coordinating with branch associates to ensure satisfaction from order to delivery and beyond. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base; collaborate with management on sales strategies and new account targeting. Prepare product quotations and resolve issues as needed. Analyze territory competition, devise sales strategies, and communicate plans to management. Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge to project a professional image in the field. Document all sales activity in the internal CRM (Salesforce) to monitor the pipeline and measure results. Qualifications
3-5 years of industry-related sales experience required. Results-oriented, self-motivated, capable of completing tasks in a timely manner, and able to build relationships within a team environment. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Problem solving, leadership, and listening skills; general digital literacy. Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and learn quickly. This position is base salary with commission eligibility and no cap on commission.
