Play a vital role in promoting literacy and supporting educational communities
Responsibilities
Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
Qualify leads by understanding their needs and setting up appointments for Account Managers
Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote the value of Scholastic Reading Events
Manage sales pipeline by keeping accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and tracking progress towards goals
Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and improve sales techniques
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills for building relationships with peers, superiors, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership abilities in previous roles
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
