Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, responding to RFQs and related quote requests, analyzing forecasts (FCST), maintaining strong communication with customers, and leading coordination between internal teams and factories. The position also includes handling urgent delivery requests, ensuring profitability, and improving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to RFQs, RFCs, ECRs, and ECNs for both new and current programs Meet strict quote deadlines (typically within 2 weeks) and manage annual pricing updates Analyze daily and long-term customer forecasts (FCST), identify discrepancies, and provide feedback Communicate forecast changes and assess related logistics or cost impacts Support urgent delivery coordination and emergency shipments as needed Obtain and verify purchase orders (POs) from customers for products, tooling, or additional charges Maintain over 95% customer satisfaction by meeting quality and delivery expectations Resolve account-related issues including AR, pending payments, and credit/debit memos Submit regular reports (daily, weekly, semi-annual) on sales, pricing, and customer issues Lead or participate in meetings with customers, factories, and internal teams Promote collaboration across departments and maintain professionalism in communication Actively support colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented culture
Work Style & Travel Requirements
Hybrid Schedule: Minimum two days per week in-office required (more frequent presence expected during onboarding/training) Business Travel: Travel to Michigan approximately once every two months Travel to a manufacturing facility in Mexico approximately once per year (subject to change) Meetings: Weekly evening meetings (8:00 PM) with overseas factory Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) experience is preferred; parts sales experience is a plus Background in the automotive or manufacturing industry is beneficial Skilled in quotation management, negotiation, and deadline adherence Strong analytical skills for demand and supply trends High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools Familiarity with ISO-9001 and TS-16949 standards is a plus Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Collaborative, self-driven, and proactive in problem-solving Able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
