The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows company standards as outlined in all work centers, maintains a clean work area at all times, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be engaged in tasks across all areas of the Store as business needs require and may be asked to perform additional tasks to help achieve customer service and operational goals. Essential Functions
Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; remains friendly and professional at all times; recognizes fellow Associates using Company recognition programs. Assists Customers as needed — is register-trained, helps with merchandise, and answers questions politely and knowledgeably; greets Customers with eye contact, a smile, and a “hello” in the Store and a “thank you” during transactions. Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers; responds to service calls immediately and escalates to Store Leadership when needed. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Performs cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies) and disinfects high-touch areas to maintain store and Team areas. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company’s dress code. Performs daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat, clean, organized, and merchandised to standards. Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandises items per monthly presentation guidelines while maintaining brand familiarity within departments. Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness program and merchandise protection standards. Safeguards confidential information, cash, credit card information, and merchandise; demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions. Follows MOS policies and proper processing of disposals; adheres to cash, check, charge, refunds, and offline procedures; maintains accuracy with bankable tenders. Demonstrates urgency to efficiently perform duties and maximize productivity by following Store best practices. Competencies

Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements
Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store for up to 100% of the working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop as needed. Ability to push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds; associates in stockroom shifts may lift more than 20 pounds.
