Key Responsibilities
Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with autism.
Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group academic and behavioral support.
Teach communication, social interaction, and self‑management skills.
Prepare students for daily school activities and field trips.
Implement self‑regulation strategies from BIPs.
Collect and document data on student performance, behavior, and progress.
Collaborate with teaching and behavioral teams to create a structured environment.
Communicate effectively with staff regarding student progress.
Participate in training sessions with behavioral analysts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
Experience with children, especially those with autism, is a plus.
Passion for supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Patient, empathetic, and flexible in various situations.
Willingness to complete RBT training and certification within a specified timeframe.
Location and Schedule
Issaquah, WA Monday–Friday 8:00 am–3:30 pm Occasional before/after school work
12‑month school program
Physical Requirements
Ability to implement therapeutic holds to keep students safe.
Ability to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations and, when required, lift a child.
