Orting High School, a member of the 2A SPSL, is committed to providing excellence in all of its co-curricular programs. The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Head Girls' Softball Coach at Orting High School.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Experience preferred in coaching/participating in softball Knowledge of softball techniques and strategies Be able to meet all W.I.A.A. requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community members Effective written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills necessary to support running a solid high school program Successful experience working with teenage athletes Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship Minimum Qualifications
Be a high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program Be at least 21 years of age to be a head coach Current first aid and CPR training Flexible Schedule Must be available immediately after school - 2:15 pm Terms Of Employment
Location: Orting High School Work Year: 2025-26 High School Spring Season Work Start: High school dismissal is 2:15PM, M-Th and 12:45PM on F Salary: 2024-25 OXA Extra Curricular Salary Schedule Appendix A (will be paid at the 2025-26 rates) REPORTS TO:

For coaching positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by a number of factors, including the number of hours an employee worked during the last two (2) school years (September 1 through August 31). Coaching positions may not be benefit eligible. Benefits are administered through the Payroll Department. Regular employees who are also in coaching position(s) and are anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability and the employee assistance program. The district's healthcare benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Benefit eligible employees also qualify to optionally participate in deferred compensation/403B plans, dependent care flexible spending/health savings accounts, and additional life insurance and/or added long-term disability coverage through employee contributions.
