Summary: The Sam M. Walton College of Business has openings for part-time temporary adjunct lecturers to teach undergraduate courses. Applying for a part-time adjunct lecturer position allows department chairs from across the College to access candidate materials when a teaching need arises throughout the current or future academic year. Department: Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Venture Innovation (SEVI) Summary of Job Duties: SEVI faculty collaborate with many small and growing businesses headquartered in Northwest Arkansas. Duties include providing quality teaching for assigned courses, which involves clear course objectives, prepared and relevant class activities, effective presentations, fair and understandable grading, timely responses to students, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Instruction may be face-to-face, online, or blended. Provide office hours as prescribed and grading feedback to students in a timely manner with grades submitted by deadlines. Regular, reliable attendance and on-campus availability are essential functions. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree in a relevant field Evidence of high-quality instruction or training (e.g., guest speaker, keynote speaker, workshop leader) Preferred Qualifications: Previous face-to-face teaching experience in higher education (i.e., official instructor of record) Additional Information: The Sam M.
