As an
Independent Sales Representative , you will play a critical role in expanding Hayes Bicycle Group’s footprint across key U.S. territories including the
Midwest (MN, WI, IL) ,
Southeast (GA, NC, SC) ,
South (MS, AL, TN) , and
Plains (NE, IA, KS, NB) . This position offers the opportunity to drive sales growth, deepen relationships with Independent Bicycle Dealers (IBDs), and act as a trusted ambassador of our world-class cycling brands. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities: Cultivate, manage, and grow retailer relationships across the assigned multi-state territory Drive territory sales performance to meet or exceed annual targets Deliver in-person and virtual product training sessions, providing technical insights and merchandising guidance Collaborate closely with internal Hayes teams to coordinate promotional initiatives and dealer support programs Represent the brand at industry events, regional trade shows, and dealer visits to build visibility and loyalty Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the cycling or outdoor sports industries Demonstrated success managing sales in an independent contractor (1099) capacity Strong existing relationships with Independent Bicycle Dealers within the region Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory Must reside within one of the listed states PLEASE NOTE: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Compensation is 100% Commission-Based. As a self-employed sales representative, you will not receive company benefits. This role is ideal for a professional already operating as an independent rep with an existing portfolio of brands.
