Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball Part Time
Southern New Hampshire University is looking for an Assistant Basketball Coach, part-time. You will report to the Head Basketball Coach and will be based on the main campus in Manchester, NH.
In This Role You'll Get To
Participate in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices. Help monitor conditioning programs
Provide input as to the evaluation of the athlete's performance and progress. Evaluate opponents' performance and scouting. Ensure the peak performance of athletes during games
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes
Help recruit prospective student-athletes
Help with gameday logistics planning and support
Participate in planning for events including fundraising or other special functions
Bring University Vans to and from practice, games, playoffs, and coaches meetings
Additional responsibilities can be assigned with discussion between the Head Coach, Director of Athletics and the Assistant Coach
Attendance is required at any NE-10 conference meetings, all-star balloting, or voting meetings, and all SNHU Athletic Department meetings
You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. If you plan to recruit, you must pass the NCAA Certification exam.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree
1+ years of playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level
Knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE-IO, ECAC, and NCAA
Experience recruiting, evaluating, and leading skills sessions for player development.
Prior experience with Synergy and Hudl
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $14.01 - $22.43. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
