The Ski & Snowboard School Training Specialist is responsible for creating a positive training culture throughout the Ski & Snowboard School by leading the Resort priorities and modeling the company’s values. This role collaborates with supervisors, managers and Ski & Snowboard School leadership on the creation, administration, quality control, staffing, and delivery of training. This position reports directly to the Director of Skier Services. Success in this role is defined by safety, employee experience & certification, and guest experience. A Training Specialist will organize systems to support exceptional instructor performance, recognize the value of quality instruction, and strive to exceed professional standards of excellence. Coach, motivate and develop a high-performing instruction team aligned with the goals, values, and safety standards of the Ski & Snowboard School, Stevens Pass, and Vail Resorts. Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging work environment emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, positive thinking, and continuous improvement. Coordinate and schedule all aspects of Ski & Snowboard School staff training, ensuring 100% completion by assigned employees in collaboration with the Director of Skier Services and department managers. Evaluate training program effectiveness through quality control and ongoing communication with pros, trainers, and supervisors. Stay current with professional organizations, industry trends, competitions, and events; pursue educational opportunities. Co-manage annual safety plans to reduce incidents and strengthen safety culture across departments. Maintain effective communication with staff, leadership, peers and other departments to build a supportive and trustworthy environment. Ensure accurate entry of schedules and payroll for training staff and oversee training revenue and expenses. Perform daily supervisory duties as required and teach lessons to the public; lead training clinics when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
3 years’ experience in SSBS or closely related field. Ability to perform in a high-paced, multi-faceted environment with multi-tasking capability. Positive, strengths-based orientation and a can-do attitude. Proficiency in MS Office and aptitude for learning new software. English language fluency (written and verbal). Ability to work in a high alpine environment. High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred Skills and Experience
PSIA/AASI Level 3 certification. Experience with RPOS or RTP staff management software. Bachelor’s degree in education, leadership development, or related field. Previous Vail Resorts SSBS Supervisor or higher-level management experience. Benefits

The expected pay range is $27.00 - $30.55 hourly. This range reflects the pay the company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
