Position Sales and Service Supervisor DOT
— supervise and train a team of service representatives, ensure on-time product deliveries and on-premise equipment maintenance, provide safety training, and oversee daily job duties. May run delivery routes in support of absences. This position requires a commercial driver’s license.
Responsibilities
Consistently demonstrate and model good management and self-management practices in support of Ben E. Keith culture
Maintain daily delivery schedule and ensure deliveries are conducted in a timely and professional manner
Hire, train, and develop employees; mentor by coaching and sharing best practices
Monitor and follow up on issues needing corrective action; assess performance against benchmarks and provide feedback
Ensure team members adhere to all company policies and procedures
Conduct regular field-based supervision of employee assignments and tasks
Train and certify direct reports on the use of company vehicles and other facility equipment
Provide excellent customer service by managing day-to-day activities of drivers and meeting Ben E. Keith standards in all phases of the delivery process
Screen, interview, and hire applicants as needed
Ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe, operational condition and maintain necessary documentation
Investigate and address customer complaints appropriately; respond to accident notifications and visit accident scenes involving BEK drivers and/or vehicles
Complete accident reports, arrange drug screens, determine causes, and take appropriate corrective actions
Build healthy business relationships and communicate with retail customers
Communicate observed opportunities or challenges to sales staff
Project a friendly, professional image at all times; attend required meetings
Prioritize multiple, competing priorities; maintain a clean assigned company vehicle
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Ability to lead others and achieve results through motivation, communication, and leading by example
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple activities
Strong oral and written communication skills; team-oriented
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read/write English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred; basic computer skills
Excellent performance in previous BEK career path positions
Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., and to stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear
Must be 21 years or older; Texas Class A CDL with clean MVR required
Ability to operate/drive single axle truck with 27 ft trailer; ability to work in various weather conditions
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with applicable standards
Regular, punctual attendance as per standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
Driver Safety We use dash cameras to monitor driving for safety; videos may be used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form at hire.
