Inside Sales Specialist - Doors Alexandria Moulding is currently looking for an Inside Sales Specialist - Doors to join our VALUES based organization. The Inside Sales Specialist - Doors serves as the key communication link between customers, sales, shipping, and scheduling teams. This role is essential to ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction for all aspects of our door product line. The individual will support accounts specifically related to doors, act as a subject matter expert on door products and the company’s door configurator software. They will also build strong customer relationships while growing market share in the door category for Western Canada.

Responsibilities

Manage, support, assist, and grow assigned accounts with a focus on door products for Western Canada.

Process and track door and pre-hung door orders from entry through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy of specifications (sizes, finishes, configurations, etc.).

Serve as the primary point of contact for door-related inquiries, providing accurate product knowledge and guidance through the door configuration software.

Use the door configurator to prepare and validate quotes, order details, and specifications.

Liaise with door shop/operations manager regarding scheduling and capacity.

Respond to and resolve customer questions and concerns related to doors in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and order details to support inventory planning and scheduling.

Comprehension of machining specs for doors and jambs.

Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance customer experience and the door product line efficiency.

Provide support to sales representatives in managing door accounts, including preparing documentation, quotes, and order status updates.

Skills / Requirements

Ability to handle high volumes of door line inquiries, order adjustments, and scheduling requests.

Strong sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction with a focus on accuracy in product details.

Highly organized, able to manage multiple door orders simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical door product details clearly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with ability to learn and apply door configurator software effectively.

Considerable independent judgment and decision making in carrying out assignments.

Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.

Mobility to travel; valid driver’s license and passport.

Assets

Experience with AX Microsoft Dynamics 2012 (or similar ERP system) for order entry and tracking.

Industry knowledge in doors, building materials, moulding, or residential/commercial construction.

Pre-existing relationships or experience working directly with door manufacturers or suppliers will be considered a strong asset.

Analyze and validate door take-offs and project specifications to ensure accurate configurations and quoting.

Understanding of NAF/NAUF/LEEDS credits.

General understanding of door hardware components including handles, hinges, sills, and related parts would be considered beneficial.

Experience / Education

College diploma or equivalent experience (3–5 years) in door industry, manufacturing, operations and customer service.
