JOB DESCRIPTION:

Psychotherapist (1099 independent contractor) SUPERVISED BY:

Clinical Supervisor COMPENSATION: The company will pay for required clinical supervision up to Maryland Board mandated minimum. $46,800 - $78,000 per year ($30-$50 per individual session and $10-$15 per participant in each group session). Must render a minimum of 38 (45-minute) treatment sessions per week, each supported by a compliant service document, payable biweekly. Service documents written and signed by the provider must be submitted on the same day services are rendered. No additional pay is provided for extra documentation time beyond the allotted 45 minutes for individual sessions (38 minutes face-to-face and 7 minutes documentation). For group sessions, 60 minutes are allotted (45 minutes face-to-face and 15 minutes documentation). In summary, the psychotherapist is compensated for: Individual psychotherapy sessions documented according to agency guidelines Group psychotherapy sessions documented according to agency guidelines Clinical/administrative supervision and meeting time In-services and training time WORK SCHEDULE:

The Psychotherapist sets their own schedule to provide services. It is recommended that services be provided during the office hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) when administrative support is available and clients are most active. Weekend appointments are possible with prior scheduling. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Psychotherapist is responsible for client assessments, developing, evaluating, and modifying care plans. The clinician performs complex client care procedures specific to their expertise, sets treatment objectives, and develops treatment plans with the medical director. Provides individual or group therapy, supportive therapy, or crisis intervention on a short-term or long-term basis to diverse populations. Advises the program director on rehabilitation services to meet client needs. This community-based outpatient position involves services at designated community offices or in the community. Services are delivered within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating regularly with psychiatric nurse practitioners, community workers, and other counselors. LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or social work. Interns and students pursuing such degrees may provide services under contract with their educational institution. Minimum of 1-year experience in psychotherapy/counseling for adults and minors with mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Must be Maryland-licensed in one of the following: LCSW-C, LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, or LGPC. MUST BE COVID VACCINATED

or have received the first dose by the start date, with the second dose scheduled and documented.
