**Special knowledge, abilities and skills:*** Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others effectively* Ability to document services provided* Understanding of regulatory and compliance organizations/agencies* Excellent customer relations skills* Understands and abides by confidentiality policies* BSN required Graduate of an accredited nursing program* Experience in the hiring area* Four (4) years of clinical experience with two (2) years in a specialty area and two (2) years in a leadership role (i.e., RN IV, Charge Nurse, or Team Lead* Current Registered Nurse License* Active BLS* Assesses and designs training and/or educational programs to address identified deficiencies/learning needs.* The CS understands and assures the use of adult learning principles and culturally appropriate initiatives and imparts this knowledge to faculty/staff as appropriate.* This position will identify barriers or concerns which interfere with the learning process and suggests alternatives for resolution; consults with departments, staff, managers to determine goals.* The Clinical Specialist will establish and lead process improvement initiatives.* Other duties are assigned.At the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), we are looking for health care and non-health care professionals who believe in excellence as a way of life.
