Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA)
is seeking a skilled and motivated
Highway Engineer
with 4-7 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Manassas, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Waynesboro or Virginia Beach.
This role will focus on the design, development and maintenance of transportation infrastructure within Virginia, ensuring the projects
meet VDOT’s standards for quality, safety and efficiency.
This position is eligible for a sign-on-bonus up to $5K! Responsibilities
Design
and
develop
transportation infrastructure, including
roads ,
highways ,
bridges , and
traffic management systems . Collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams, including
planners ,
engineers ,
contractors , and
local agencies . Assist in project management tasks, including
cost estimation ,
scheduling , and
resource allocation . Prepare detailed engineering reports, designs, and drawings according to
VDOT standards and guidelines. Ensure
compliance
with
federal ,
state , and
local regulations
related to transportation engineering. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. 4-7 years of experience
in transportation engineering, including
design and project management . Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with the intention to obtain a PE within 1 year is
required Proficiency in
OpenRoads Designer
is
required Knowledge of VDOT standards, specifications, and project delivery processes is
required . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
