As the Landscape Design Associate, it is your responsibility to assist the Landscape Designer in design, estimation, site inventory and presentations. COMPENSATION: $60,000-$70,000 per year plus annual bonus ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design Develop landscape, planting plans in CAD Understand irrigation, grading and drainage concepts/design Understand planting design concepts (location, size, evergreen/deciduous balance, appropriate plant for space, perennials, plant combinations and textures) Produce landscape and hardscape construction details as needed for Produce sections, elevations as needed Revise plans as needed and prepare all materials/gather samples for presentations Compile plant pictures, renderings, product brochures/info and sketch ups as required Complete as-built plans for projects Train with all designers on landscape design layout and planting design Management Update weekly task list, maintain Outlook calendar and keep designer updated daily on tasks needing completed to keep schedule Update sales cycle on current proposals to ensure accurate pipeline and update client contact information Maintain proper Project filing management Assist in city permitting/pulling permits Job Pack assembly and submittal Train and support Design Interns Visit job sites on complicated/large projects to better understand and more accurately estimate project Perform takeoffs accurately for all landscape materials Understand construction methods and practices and how to properly obtain takeoffs and estimate materials and labor for projects Assemble accurate proposals following estimating checklist and SOP Create budgets in xcel Work with and obtain complete & accurate subcontractor quotes Create and manage change order process Training and Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or related field (preferred) Qualifications: Valid driver’s license with approval from fleet insurance carrier (Required) Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written Professional graphic presentation and rendering skills 2+ years of estimation experience Experience with AutoCAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Land FX · Landscape design, construction, and horticulture knowledge
