Quality Manager - Industrial Construction
Location: Detroit, MI, US We are adding a Quality Manager to our Cherne division to support self-perform construction projects around the United States. Our Quality Managers are boots on the ground in the field and work the duration of the project to ensure the construction is performed to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and all other quality related functions necessary to deliver the project fully compliant with the contract documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, with experience in self-perform construction and a thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS). The candidate should be a self-starter with organizational, managerial, and leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with large groups of craft personnel as well as management and client teams. Responsibilities
Manage the development and implementation of a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) Review and approve subcontractor quality plans to ensure compliance with contractual requirements Ensure quality staff is adequately assigned, trained, and qualified to execute the PQP Responsible for the implementation and oversight of a Quality Assurance Program Lead and mentor junior QA/QC personnel Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with the Client team Interpret quality standards and regulatory requirements Collaborate closely with district quality management Coordinate and perform causal analysis investigations Coordinate and perform QA audits and assessments Analyze findings to identify trends that could be potential risks to the project Promote Continuous Improvement and the timely reporting of all conditions that affect the project Ensure that all Quality documentation required for project turnover is completed Routinely speak and/or present at meetings to promote quality goals/objectives Perform routine performance reviews with all project Quality staff Qualifications
