Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Design/Controls Engineer
with strong experience in
PLC programming
and
HMI/SCADA systems . The ideal candidate will design, develop, program, and implement industrial automation and control systems to support manufacturing, process control, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work from concept to commissioning, ensuring systems are reliable, safe, and optimized for performance.
This position offers two days remote per week. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automation control systems, including hardware and software, to meet project requirements. Program, test, and troubleshoot
PLC systems
(Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) for industrial applications. Develop and configure
HMI and SCADA
interfaces for system monitoring, control, and reporting. Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams. Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning both in-house and on-site. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define system specifications and deliver solutions on time and within budget. Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and best engineering practices. Provide technical support, training, and documentation for installed systems. Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance. $80,000 - $125,000 a year #J-18808-Ljbffr
