JOB SUMMARY:
Purchase parts and components on behalf of Empire Southwest. Negotiate prompt delivery of parts and components. Provide technical assistance as requested. Assist in the management of system inventory parameters to exceed Dealer Excellence expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Purchase parts and components for company inventory and individual client orders.
Maintain and research backorders to assure parts order status is upgraded as necessary.
Maintain database and required lists.
Provide recommended parts list and quotes.
Assist with month end closing processes and parts accounting.
Review stock inventory and provide recommendations on parts stock .
Mentor and train department employees on various processes.
Act as the subject matter expert and point of contact for client questions and any DBS Parts related problems.
Create and submit monthly inventory charts, maintain count goals set by Management, research and correct errors.
Maintain and research pending action and open back-order reports.
Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and analyze reports. Provide reports as required. Oversee and process parts returns. Respond to all inquiries about stock levels, recommended stock, and special programs. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. Continually look for processes to improve efficiency. Work within and promote corporate values. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of product lines including model designations and equipment applications. Must have interpersonal skills to effectively work with people. Must have organizational skills to work independently, complete assignments on schedule and maintain record keeping systems. Must have sufficient analytical skills to confidently provide recommendations based on report analysis. Must have ability to conduct research using available resources. Intermediate knowledge of office or clerical systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point. Ability to maintain consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prefer Associates degree in general studies or 2 years of college or equivalent years of experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Inventory Control or purchasing. Prefer experience in warehousing. Prefer technical reference material experience. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
