Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Operations, Driver Research and Insights will leverage your natural curiosity and strong knowledge of research capabilities to lead research and insights projects within our End 2 End Delivery Business. You will plan, execute, and activate primary research as well as partner with research vendors to execute projects. You are a champion of insights and adept at translating both quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable recommendations. In this role you will be part of a growing part of the business and will help enable expansion and decision making through your research.
What you’ll do
Lead and manage research projects across qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
Plan, execute, and activate primary research; partner with external vendors as needed.
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for the business; influence decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Lead a portfolio of multi-disciplinary research projects with multiple business partners.
Manage end-to-end project timelines and stakeholder expectations.
Develop storytelling and presentation materials to communicate findings clearly to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in customer experience, consumer insights, market research, strategy, analytics, and/or brand management.
Ability to translate business needs into appropriate research methods.
Advanced understanding of customer experience metrics (NPS, CSAT, etc.) and translating feedback data into measurable action.
Experience programming and analyzing studies in tools such as Qualtrics, Medallia, Alchemer, SPSS, or similar.
Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate within an organization; strong stakeholder management.
Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Experience managing research vendor relationships and conducting DIY research both in-field and remote.
Ability to lead a portfolio of multi-disciplinary research projects with multiple stakeholders.
End-to-end project management skills.
Demonstrated experience collaborating and influencing across stakeholder groups.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in customer experience, consumer insights, market research, strategy, analytics, and/or brand management.
Experience leading qualitative research (IDI’s, focus groups, diaries, shadows, etc.) and quantitative research (surveys, segmentation, max-diff, conjoint analysis).
Excellent knowledge of marketing strategy and integrating consumer insights—primary & secondary research, syndicated research, segmentation, concept development/validation, test-and-learn, and creative testing.
Proven ability to leverage consumer insights to drive business results.
Able to develop an objective point-of-view and be seen as a strategic thought leader.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and storytelling ability.
Able to demonstrate agility and pivot focus based on changes in business needs.
Excellent planning and project management skills.
