Facility Maintenance Associate Project Manager

to join our team. Facility Maintenance at DEN includes HVAC, Electrical, Passenger Loading Bridge, Plumbing, and Building departments. In this role, you will create supporting information for contracts, act as the subject matter expert after submittal, and manage projects through to completion. This is a unique opportunity to oversee exciting new contracts and development at DEN while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholder groups. Key responsibilities will include: Project Management and Coordination : Manage, coordinate, and direct development, redevelopment, and capital improvement projects. This includes coordinating with DEN, other city departments, community and business organizations, and other stakeholders. Consultant and Personnel Oversight : Coordinate the work of consultants and related personnel assigned to various projects, ensuring effective collaboration and execution. While this position does not currently include direct reports, it is expected to assume supervisory responsibilities in the near future. Change Control and Quality Assurance : Define and manage change control processes and quality assurance aspects of projects to ensure successful outcomes. Oversee modifications to existing programs or creation of new programs to maintain or enhance program standing. Project Planning and Goal Maintenance : Confer with management to maintain established project plans and goals, including scope of work, timelines, funding limitations, contract costs, risk factors, and resource allocation. Schedule and Cost Monitoring : Track schedules, work plans, and cost estimates/projections. Monitor projects for conformance to approved plans and contract specifications, and assist in preparing pre-bid materials for RFQs and RFPs. Stakeholder Communication : Prepare and communicate project status reports for key stakeholders, providing updates on project activities, risks, and mitigation strategies. Budget Management : Monitor the budget for project planning, design, regulatory, and construction phases. Ensure project deliverables stay on-time, on-target, and on-budget. Administer overall financial operations, including developing the annual operating budget and preparing budget reports. Regulatory Compliance and Permits : Interact with utility companies, city agencies, and other governmental agencies to obtain necessary permits and clearances. Ensure regulatory compliance and utilize SCADA for regulatory data and system optimization. Bid Preparation and Evaluation : Prepare project bid materials with professional consultant teams and cost estimates with DEN Project controls staff. Evaluate bid qualifications and proposals, and work with stakeholders on project designs, concepts, and timeframes for completion. Team Leadership and Resource Allocation : Act as a team lead on projects, coordinating work for contractors and consultants. Assist inspectors with code compliance issues, keep team members focused on tasks, and allocate resources effectively. Monitor overall construction and design, track project schedules, oversee costs and expenditures, and ensure compliance with engineering standards. What You’ll Bring Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:? Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills Well-rounded project management skills including: Collaboration, Organization, Scheduling, Adaptability, Budget Management, Time Management, Problem Solving, Negotiation, and Stakeholder Management Familiarity with contract management Customer Service focused Familiarity or background in general facility maintenance helpful Experience in engineering and/or construction management industries is helpful Required Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field. Experience: Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including planning, managing, and scheduling projects and preparing and reviewing contract documents. Education and Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements. Licensure & Certification: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
