Job Summary The Purchasing Manager leads the buying team in the procurement of goods and services, including warehouse inventory items, non-stock items, and special project purchases. This role exercises buying responsibilities and judgements based on the best value, considering quantity, quality, service, and delivery.
The Details Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the purchasing support team to achieve departmental goals while providing training and guidance to junior buyers and staff
Serve as the primary liaison with Food & Beverage leadership and other stakeholders to align purchasing activities with operational needs
Oversee requisitions, vendor communications, and procurement to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services at best value
Drive sustainability practices in all purchasing decisions, supporting the mission of “Legendary Hospitality with a Softer Footprint"
Act as subject matter expert for Cloudsuite purchasing functions and maintain order guides, inventory par levels, and demand forecasting
Cultivate and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and resolve discrepancies, returns, and delivery issues
Collaborate with the Corporate Supply Chain team to ensure compliance with contracts, preferred vendor programs, and purchasing policies
Support seasonal warehouse operations, including openings, closings, and replenishment processes as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years within the hospitality or food service industry with at least 3 years performing purchasing activities
Experience with a National Park concessionaire required
Minimum 3-5 years managerial experience required
Experience with inventory management and inventory control processes required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Well established communication and negotiation skills
Dependable and capable when working autonomously with varying degrees of clarity and direction
Demonstrated ability to be proactive in anticipating and mitigating risk factors and operational requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
Solid analytic skills, including price/cost analysis and demand planning
Experience with Infor Cloudsuite Financials & Supply Management desired
Physical Requirements include:
Sitting and working at a desk for extended periods of time
Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time when needed
Lifting up to 50 lbs. at a time. Job can be very laborious when assisting in warehouse operations
