Position Overview
The Parts Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dealership’s parts warehouse. This role ensures efficient inventory management, timely delivery of parts to technicians and customers, and the maintenance of a safe, organized, and high-performing warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a team while maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of parts warehouse associates, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Ensure parts are accurately pulled, delivered to technicians, and fulfilled for retail and wholesale customers in a timely manner.
Oversee shipping and receiving processes, including inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
Maintain organized and labeled storage areas, ensuring the warehouse is clean, safe, and efficient.
Conduct regular inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
Assist in unloading and loading trucks, ensuring proper handling of all parts and materials.
Monitor team productivity and provide coaching to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with the Parts Director and other dealership departments to optimize parts availability and workflow.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
Previous experience in a parts warehouse or automotive environment, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Basic computer literacy for inventory systems, labeling software, and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Dependability and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy parts and materials, up to 50 pounds regularly.
Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Manual dexterity for handling small parts and operating warehouse equipment.
Working Conditions
Work primarily in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures.
May involve occasional outdoor tasks, including assisting with deliveries or pickups.
Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Full-time, including weekends, holidays, and potential evening hours to accommodate our clientele’s needs.
