T&B Ops Section Head

Oversee daily Tug & Barge (T&B) vessel operations to ensure they run safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures. Plan vessel schedules and manage crew assignments. Provide performance reports and recommendations to the Head of T&B Operations. Key Duties: Fleet Operations & Efficiency Optimize vessel capacity, payload, sailing time, and fuel usage. Coordinate with captains and crew for smooth onboard activities. Ensure vessels are compliant with internal and external regulations. Track fleet availability and readiness (PA, MA, UA). Analyze and improve operational performance. Safety & Compliance (QHSE/HSSE) Enforce safety, health, and environmental standards. Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification. Implement and supervise the Safety Management System (SMS) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) procedures. Leadership & Coordination Assist the Head of T&B Operations and Marine Safety in overseeing vessel operations. Ensure strong communication and coordination across crews and departments. Requirements: 5 years as Shipping Operations Superintendent 10 years as Shipping Operations Supervisor (Port Captain) Understand the coal production and logistics process. Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions. Effective communication skills with various parties. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in using planning and delivery tracking software.
