Posted Friday, October 10, 2025 at 4:00 AM The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance operations within the distribution facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, maintains building integrity, and enforces safety and compliance standards. The position oversees a team of maintenance technicians, directs preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborates with operations and engineering to support facility efficiency and long-term infrastructure needs. Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and contractors. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and scheduling to support facility needs. Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facility systems. Coordinate schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues for distribution and facility equipment. Manage outside contractors when specialized expertise is required. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and all regulatory requirements. Promote a strong culture of workplace safety. Direct hard and soft services such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, and building repairs. Oversee projects that support long-term facility integrity. Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships. Negotiate services, monitor contractor performance, and control maintenance budgets. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and compliance documentation. Provide reports on performance, downtime, and key metrics. Partner with operations and engineering on equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements. Recommend and implement best practices for reliability and efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field or 8+ years of equivalent work experience in maintenance leadership. 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environments. Hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, and control systems troubleshooting. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, and schematics. Working knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, conveyor systems, HVAC, welding, machining, and forklift repair. Effective verbal and written communication across email, phone, and group settings. Teamwork, adaptability, and ability to prioritize under shifting business needs. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management. Decision-making and problem-solving in high-volume environments. Ability to motivate and develop a team.
