Position Summary
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and by assessing economic trends and community needs. Provides direction to Associates on customer/member service approaches to resolve needs and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as good members of the community. Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and directing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews. Develops action plans to improve performance and provides guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives while directing Vision Center Associates in maintaining confidentiality of information and records. Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing contributions, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with Members/Customers, educating on products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor repairs, and maintaining Optical equipment. Upholds the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying goals, and measuring progress. Promotes continuous learning and adaptability within the team. Supports company mission, values, ethics, and integrity by applying related action plans and fostering a culture of belonging and integrity. Demonstrates respect for individuals, collaborates effectively, communicates with impact, and attracts and develops talent. Acts with integrity and serves customers by delivering results, using data-driven decision making, and considering short- and long-term priorities. Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred Qualifications
