AdventHealth Port Charlotte The role you’ll contribute: Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age-specific guidelines of FH parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. The CT technologist participates in outstanding customer service and maintains professional relationships while upholding the principles of Florida Hospital. The Tech II position includes additional duties such as keeping, counting and recording statistics, tracking and ordering supplies, performing complicated 3D and CTA workstation studies, overseeing smooth operations of campus locations, performing more difficult exams, teaching students/new technologists and other tasks as assigned by the department manager. The value you’ll bring to the team: Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications. Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care. Qualifications: The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv Required 0+ Work Experience Required ARRT - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) Required Registered Computed Tomography Technician (RTCTARRT) Required Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required Job
