Baltimore, Maryland Reports to the Program Director Living & Learning East Coast is part of Living & Learning International (L&LI), a faith-based study abroad organization offering academically excellent global programs. Students live in community, engage with global challenges, and learn to respond from a Christ-centered worldview. We collaborate with over 50 U.S. institutions across semester, summer, and short-term programs. Join a dedicated team committed to providing quality study abroad experiences for U.S. college students. The Baltimore Urban Study Center enables students to learn from communities in Washington D.C., New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. We foster community living and encourage responses rooted in biblical Christian principles. Highlights
Enjoy a flexible work schedule and connect with international travelers. Contribute to designing innovative, meaningful, and educational programs. Facilitate learning in diverse settings as a teacher and guide. Live abroad with opportunities for both program and independent travel. Work independently, think creatively, and passionately provide experiential learning. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Baltimore, Maryland. Who You Are
A reflective follower of Jesus, open to authentic faith and spiritual processing. Proficient in Google Workspace or willing to learn. 1-2 years of experience in Student or Resident Life. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred. 2-3 years of urban ministry or multicultural experience preferred. Position Responsibilities
Coordinate Student Activities
Lead residential life and multicultural community activities (game nights, movie nights, community events, etc.). Work with the team to plan activities across Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. that promote community and belonging. Partner with other Resident Coordinators to organize weekly and weekend activities, including excursions, grocery shopping, and worship services. Support Student Needs
Model Christ-centered behavior through actions and words. Live on campus in a private room with shared office space. Manage schedules, communicate events, and oversee property maintenance and cleanliness. Handle check-in/check-out, incident reports, and maintenance issues. Serve as the primary contact for student health concerns, maintaining first-aid supplies. Attend weekly staff meetings and maintain student health and safety in collaboration with the Director of Student Life. Complete 4-6 hours weekly in assigned department roles. Spiritual and Academic Mentorship
Live out a vibrant walk with Jesus, serving as an approachable example. Mediate conflicts and address issues related to Living Above Reproach (LAR). Lead small group and individual meetings, mentoring students in applying their learning. Partner with faculty and staff to support students spiritually and academically. Manage discipleship funds and report monthly finances. Compensation and Fundraising
Resident Coordinators are expected to fundraise $6,000, with L&L East Coast covering additional expenses.
