Prospectively evaluates all drug therapy for appropriate indications, dosage, drug interactions, contraindications and drug allergies; monitors the patient’s pharmacotherapeutic regimen for effectiveness and ADEs; and intervene as needed. Will serve as the drug information expert to the emergency department.EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum:* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.* Advanced training (residency, fellowship, and/or board certification) or 3 years of experience in area of specialty and eligible for board certificationLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum:* Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in good standing by the State of California* Current BLS certification* Current ACLS certification* Current PALS certificationDesired:* BCPS certificationSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:Must have knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission standards and California board of pharmacy rules and regulations. Ability to assist with cost saving initiatives and patient care optimization with respect to medications. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values.
