Engineering - Civil What We're Looking For: Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager to join our State & Local Client Center and lead the growth of our Florida practice. In this role, you will provide direction and leadership to our Florida-based transportation team to support Barge’s strategic goals of expanding our services and client base in Florida. This position offers the opportunity to grow, lead, and mentor our local practice, with additional opportunities to support initiatives across our firm’s geography. The role can be 100% remote and work from any office location. Responsibilities: Support the development and execution of the State & Local Client Center’s business plan aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives. Collaborate with the Director of Projects, Client Service Leaders, and Marketing for client marketing plans, pursuit strategies, teaming agreements, proposals, and interviews. Perform project management functions, including: Developing proposals and negotiating contracts. Monitoring project schedules, budgets, billing, and collections. Providing technical oversight to ensure quality compliance. Facilitating meetings during all project phases. Managing scope and effort changes over the project lifecycle. Develop conceptual design solutions aligned with client goals. Collaborate with technical leaders to develop reports, designs, plans, and specifications. Provide direction and supervision to staff to ensure effective workload management and professional development. Work with the Director of Projects to ensure key skills and capabilities are in place. Recruit and develop key capabilities through workforce development. Coordinate resources across departments and share talent across the firm. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program. PE preferred; PMP considered if without PE but with similar technical skills. 10-15 years of related roadway design and project management experience. Experience with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Strong design and technical credibility. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Strong team-building skills. Ability to collaborate across design disciplines. Why join us?
