The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking an experienced Sr. Specialist, Operations Project Manager. The role will manage improvement projects across multiple Aerojet Rocketdyne sites, driving performance to cost and schedule targets through collaboration across functions. The position supports manufacturing strategies and identifies opportunities for continuous improvements. Essential Functions
Oversight of capacity improvement projects across functions and sites. Ability to create and execute project schedules and budgets. Report to senior leadership on business performance, including action plans to improve execution and the status of strategic initiatives. Identify needed capital investment to support business needs (including quality process capacity, capabilities, and technologies). Support the manufacturing strategy across the segment. Requires up to 10% business travel within the continental U.S. Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant operations or project management experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related operations or project management experience, or 10 years of prior related operations or project management experience in lieu of a degree. 3+ years’ experience with Project Management, Capital Management and/or Budget Management. Preferred Additional Skills
Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business area or functional teams. Broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization, combining theory, past practical experience and the organization’s business practices. Earned value or cost account manager experience. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, facilities project management, business practices, and experience working directly with hardware in the aerospace industry.
