JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : Licensed by Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification by a national certifying body with prescriptive privileges. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required. Experience : Three (3) years in a psychiatric setting desired. Physical : This is a safety-sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Normal office environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Required to stand, walk, sit, and use fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. May be exposed to airborne and infectious materials. JOB SUMMARY
Provide healthcare for patients of the St. Bernards Behavioral Health Outpatient Counseling Center and St. Bernard Behavioral Health Inpatient. Performs professional duties including assessment of health status, formulating differential diagnoses, prescribing medications within scope, and developing care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Periodically or as needed, this position is responsible for independent medication management and inpatient care during their stay.
