The community you\'re caring for: AdventHealth Medical Group Work location: 3000 MEDICAL PARK DR, Tampa, 33613 The role you\'ll contribute: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (Cardiology). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. Depending on the practice, ARNP may be required to take practice call. Responsibilities
Provide services similar to those of a physician. Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions. Interpret, monitor and adjust anticoagulation therapy. Supervision of nuclear stress tests and treadmill stress tests in the outpatient practice setting. Will diagnose and treat in collaboration with the supervising Cardiologist, adult cardiovascular patients in addition to a variety of chronic health conditions including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia etc. Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations and identifying any medical conditions. Obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories of patients. Determines abnormalities by administering and/or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies. Interpreting test results of patients. Will need to workWeekdays and potentially take practice some evenings and weekends. Knowledge and Skills
Skilled in the use of specialized equipment used in respective area of practice Good organizational skills in planning/ implementing daily activities Leadership/mentorship/clinical resource skills Ability to multi-task on a variety of tasks and projects Excellent organization skills Skilled in providing age-appropriate education regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues Education and Experience
1 year of experience as a APRN in the Cardiovascular Services Required Active APRN license in the State of Florida Licensure, Certification or Registration
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Advanced APRN Certification This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
