Overview AdventHealth is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join AdventHealth Medical Group in Tampa. Location: 3000 Medical Park Dr, Tampa, FL 33613. This role involves working as part of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (Cardiology). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment in collaboration with the supervising Cardiologist, and may be required to take practice call depending on the practice. Role you’ll contribute: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (Cardiology). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively with the Cardiologist, and perform duties per the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for ARNPs. Depending on the practice, ARNP may be required to take practice call. Responsibilities and duties: Provide services similar to those of a physician. Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and treat health conditions. Interpret, monitor and adjust anticoagulation therapy. Supervision of nuclear stress tests and treadmill stress tests in the outpatient practice setting. Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular patients in collaboration with the supervising Cardiologist, and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Assess patient health by interviewing, performing physical examinations, and identifying medical conditions. Obtain, update, and study medical histories of patients. Determine abnormalities by ordering diagnostic tests (e.g., X-ray, EKG, laboratory studies) and interpreting results. Weekday work schedule with potential evenings and weekends as required. Knowledge and skills required: Skilled in operating specialized equipment used in the area of practice. Strong organizational skills for planning and implementing daily activities. Leadership, mentorship, and clinical resource skills. Ability to multi-task on various tasks and projects. Ability to provide age-appropriate education regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues. Qualifications Education and Experience Required: 1+ year of experience as an ARNP in Cardiovascular Services (Required) Active APRN license in the State of Florida Licensure, Certification or Registration Required: Valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification
