Overview

Sensory & Product Development Technician . Location: El Segundo, CA (Fully Onsite). Type: Full-time, Long-Term Temporary. Pay: $30–$36/hour. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. A well-established consumer goods company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sensory & Product Development Technician to support their R&D and Sensory teams. This role is perfect for someone early in their scientific career who enjoys working in a hands-on lab setting, thrives on staying organized, and is excited to contribute to cross-functional projects in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities

Lab Support & Sample Preparation

Maintain a clean and efficient lab space, ensuring materials and equipment are in order Assist in preparing product samples for testing and internal reviews Support day-to-day project activities including documentation and simple testing procedures Help coordinate and package outgoing sample shipments Sensory Team Assistance

Prepare materials and assist in setting up taste tests and sensory panels Organize sample data and help track panel feedback Assist with creating and updating sensory records Inventory & Vendor Coordination

Monitor and restock lab inventory and ingredient supplies Collect and file ingredient documentation (e.g., specifications, COAs) Communicate with vendors regarding ingredient needs or stock updates Maintain ingredient and spec sheet documentation in SharePoint and other internal systems Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline At least one year of lab experience (can be academic or industry-based) Familiarity with food, beverage, or consumer product environments is preferred Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Teams; SharePoint experience is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail, ability to stay organized, and openness to learning new processes This is a great opportunity to work closely with a small, supportive team and build valuable lab and sensory experience in a fast-moving CPG setting.
