Exciting Opportunity for a PhD-level Senior Medical Physicist Join our rapidly growing and innovative Cancer Center, where cutting-edge technology meets compassionate care. We\'re looking for a dedicated and skilled Senior Medical Physicist to contribute to our high-performing team and play a leading role in shaping the future of radiation oncology. Responsibilities
Provide therapeutic clinical services in external beam (including Adaptive-RT, SBRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SGRT) and brachytherapy (HDR, radiopharmaceutical) programs. Ensure the safe, accurate, and effective delivery of radiation therapy for patients. Work within the Radiation Oncology Department using a cutting-edge equipment lineup, including VARIAN ETHOS system with HyperSight, VARIAN Halcyon, VARIAN Trilogy (soon to be replaced with a VARIAN EDGE), GE PET/CT Simulator, and Siemens CT Simulator (featuring 4D and MAR options). Integrate VisionRT SGRT solutions (InBore Align RT, SimRT, MapRT) into clinical workflows and contribute to the development of adaptive treatment protocols using SGRT techniques. Support a highly active brachytherapy program with state-of-the-art VARIAN Bravos afterloader for HDR treatments (including GYN, interstitial, and contact procedures). Manage radiopharmaceutical infusions administered in a dedicated area (e.g., XOFIGO and PLUVICTO). Utilize Mosaiq as the EMR and ARIA (Eclipse with RapidPlan, Brachyvision) as the treatment planning system. Engage with Radformation (Autocontour, EZFluence, ClearCalc, ClearCheck, QuickCode), MIM (Maestro, ProtégéAI+), and LAP RadCalc. Perform routine QA using PTW BeamScan, detector arrays (SNC ArcCheck, PTW Octavius 4D, PTW Starcheck Maxi, SNC Mapcheck, FilmQAPro), phantoms, and dosimetric devices. Use TotalQA (ImageOwl) for QA analysis and management. Collaborate with an experienced team that includes four physicists, three dosimetrists, and two QA technicians. Engage in a round table policy, encourage leadership on projects, and support work-life balance with a hybrid work model and onsite parking. Contribute to elevating the quality of care at Maimonides Cancer Center and participate in a forward-thinking culture with the latest technology. Qualifications
PhD Degree in Radiation Therapy Physics or a closely related field. ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Minimum five years of clinical experience as a certified radiation therapy physicist. Competitive salary/benefits/bonus structure. Pay Range
