Assistant Engineer, Electrical Mechanical & Fire
Job Purpose
To carry out/perform Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire (EMF) line maintenance activities, investigate incidents/accidents, carry out safety checks, and ensure quality assurance for maintenance requirements in compliance with SMRT Quality objectives as stated in the Quality Procedures (QP), Work Instructions (WI), and Tasklists. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Technical Officers (TO) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on EMF equipment and systems, adhering to SMRT Quality and Safety procedures. Plan and execute maintenance schedules efficiently based on team manpower. Supervise repairs and upgrades by contractors. Attend to faults reported by Operations Command Centre (OCC). Ensure EMF systems are maintained in good operational condition. Conduct briefing and toolbox meetings before shifts. Supervise team TOs to ensure safety and efficiency. Provide technical guidance and ensure records are current. Assist in engineering and safety analysis, investigations, and testing. Supervise major repairs and upgrades, and prepare reports upon completion. Ensure safety compliance and conduct monthly safety talks. Perform rotating shift duties and driving duties as required. Review and update Task lists to meet work requirements. Investigate incidents, report, and propose preventive measures. Manage procurement and asset replacement procedures. Coordinate with LTA on maintenance and review project submissions. Conduct safety training sessions for new staff. Qualifications & Work Experience
Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. Skills
Self-motivated, resourceful, positive, organized. Independent worker with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Effective liaising with contractors. About SMRT Corporation
