Environmental Supervisor
to join our team at the
Ford Rouge Complex
located in
Dearborn, MI . This individual will be responsible for handling hazardous waste at the plant, overseeing and coordinating environmental management programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Shift:
3rd Schedule:
Friday, Saturday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Monday, 6:00 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. Responsibilities and Job Duties: Develop TIS and review safety documents with the crew routinely, evaluating hazards and enforcing precautions, procedures, and PPE. Inspect equipment and tools, removing damaged or malfunctioning items from service. Support the crew with equipment, tools, materials, and supplies. Act as a liaison with customers or clients. Prepare and submit reports as directed by management. Make recommendations on equipment purchases, personnel needs, and maintenance. Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Wear appropriate safety gear, including respirators, when handling hazardous waste. Load and unload semi-trailers, tanks, and roll-off boxes for disposal. Perform daily equipment inspections and document findings. Maintain organization and compliance in the Hazardous Accumulation Area. Respond to chemical spills, managing cleanup and disposal properly. Assist with waste pickup, organization, and supply delivery. Inspect waste storage and emergency equipment, taking corrective actions as needed. Inventory and inspect waste spill kits. Maintain documentation of waste activities. Operate forklifts for loading and unloading trucks. Follow all safety guidelines pertinent to the plant. Requirements and Qualifications: Wearing a respirator and PPE is required. High School Diploma or GED. At least two years of experience in waste management. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a background check.
