The Role We Want You For As an Architectural Designer, you will contribute to various design projects, conduct research, and perform analysis to support our innovative Industrial Design practice. You will assist the practice’s leadership in expanding our Phoenix presence and portfolio through project pursuits and client relationships. The team collaborates across disciplines and with Clayco’s construction and real estate divisions to deliver integrated projects. The Specifics of the Role Serve as the point person for industrial pursuits with Clayco, leading sales meetings, client visits, RFP pursuits, team management, and project oversight. Collaborate with Clayco Industrial leadership to identify and secure new project opportunities. Prepare project proposals and fee analyses for senior leadership review. Coordinate staffing and operations with LJC Industrial design leaders. Oversee the design of complex projects and development of construction drawings, acting as the primary coordinator with contractors and engineers. Lead design teams in creating proposals for clients and managing team members. Lead business development efforts and client conversations to win work. Develop expertise and thought leadership on industrial design topics. Participate in industry discussions, publishing white papers and speaking engagements. Recruit and interview potential team members to support practice growth. Represent LJC in community and civic events. Uphold LJC’s core values of integrity, humility, and fearlessness. Advise and guide LJC’s Core Councils (Culture, Integration, Practice, Process, Sustainability). Foster a collaborative culture across offices. Travel as needed to secure projects and support client engagement. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field. 15+ years of relevant experience in architecture and design. Registered architect. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, GIS, 3D modeling, and MS Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal and coaching skills. Additional Information Nationwide projects require travel.
