Support project managers and senior mechanical engineers/designers in designing HVAC systems for various clients. Coordinate with the design team and Project Manager to execute project objectives efficiently. Fluent in design for Acute and Ambulatory Care Health Facilities, as well as Academic and Corporate Research Facilities. Hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Responsibilities: Design energy-efficient HVAC and mechanical systems. Perform load calculations and energy modeling using eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and Carrier HAP. Ensure technical correctness of drawings using Revit, adhering to federal, state, and local standards/codes. Coordinate with facility owners and architects; conduct shop drawing reviews and construction administration. Guide less experienced Engineers in Training on projects. Conduct site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings, and provide field construction support. Implement training development with the Project Engineer and team. Assist in proposal development, client management, and project execution. Requirements: Knowledge of NFPA and Joint Meeting code requirements. Experience with load analysis and energy modeling programs (eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, Carrier HAP). Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus. Understanding of USGBC LEED Rating system and standards. Effective time management and communication skills. Proficiency in English. Education and Experience: BS in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in detailed HVAC design for critical care/laboratory facilities. Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred but not required.
