Facility Maintenance / Maintenance Floater

Our company is looking for a full‑time
Maintenance Floater
with experience in the industry. Under the direct supervision of the Chief Building Engineer or Account Manager‑Engineering, the Maintenance Floater will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, previous hands‑on maintenance experience, light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting experience is required. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and grounds maintenance
Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
Drive to different locations to provide coverage
Able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs, walk, bend, stretch during shift
Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
Create and maintain work orders
Create and maintain purchase orders
Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) supervisor/property management
Skills/Qualifications
Must pass background check
High school diploma/GED
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Must have basic hand tools
General preventative maintenance experience is required (Basic commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall)
Troubleshooting abilities
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must have good public relations skills and communication
Customer service oriented
Strong organizational skills
Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, press, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 75lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up and down a stairway, climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift.
Willingness to learn and improve
Schedule Variable, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am - 8:30pm (5 days, 40 hours a week)
**Must have open availability, subjective to emergencies: after hours, weekends and holidays**
Compensation $25.00 per hour
