Clinical Neuropsychologist: The Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University is seeking one excellent early career neuropsychologist for an Assistant Professor position. This position is structured for clinical neuropsychologists in a general medicine setting, with an emphasis in degenerative conditions in a busy outpatient practice. The candidate will join a growing Cognitive & Behavioral Neurology Division that includes eight neurologists and seven neuropsychologists, in addition to several advanced practice providers, psychometrists, and neuroscientists. Psychometrist support will be provided. In addition to providing outpatient care through the multidisciplinary Cognitive & Behavioral Neurology Division Memory Clinic, there is the potential for protected time for the appropriate candidate to develop an independent research program. Vanderbilt University Medical Center has outstanding neuroscience resources to support basic, clinical, and translational research activities, including the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical & Translational Research, the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science, the Vanderbilt Brain Institute, and the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer’s Center. Involvement in training practicum students and/or postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology may be an option at times. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient clinical neuropsychology services within the Memory Clinic as part of the Cognitive & Behavioral Neurology Division. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neuropsychologists, advanced practice providers, psychometrists, and neuroscientists. Engage in opportunities to develop an independent research program with protected time as appropriate. Contribute to training practicum students and/or postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology as available. Qualifications
Position Requirements: Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Tennessee. Applicants should also hold board certification in clinical neuropsychology or be eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
