Responsibilities The primary responsibility is to conduct consultative, outpatient diagnostic neuropsychological evaluations for patients with a broad spectrum of medical and neurological conditions. These may include neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders, epilepsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), brain tumors, and cognitive concerns in medically complex populations (e.g., patients undergoing transplantation, cancer treatment, or presenting with autoimmune and viral conditions).

The practice is primarily adult-focused, with select service areas offering evaluation of adolescents.
Academic Opportunities As part of an academic medical center, active participation in research and education is expected and supported. The Division welcomes its APPCN postdoctoral fellow and maintains collaborations with neuropsychology training programs at Mayo Clinic campuses. Teaching opportunities include involvement in graduate medical education across multiple specialties. The position includes an academic appointment through the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, with rank commensurate with experience.
Team Environment The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative division, including:
5 full-time neuropsychologists
10 psychometrists
7 clinical health psychologists
2 licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs)
The division collaborates with Neurology, Neurosurgery, and other specialties, with integration across Mayo Clinic sites including Rochester, MN; Jacksonville, FL; and Mayo Clinic Health System in MN and WI.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program
Completion of an APA-accredited internship
Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology
Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners
Board certification (or significant progress toward certification within three years) through the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN)
Experience conducting clinical neuropsychological evaluations in a medical setting
Demonstrated research experience and ability to provide supervision in a postdoctoral training program
Preferred but not required: bilingual (Spanish) proficiency and lifespan assessment experience
