We are hiring a

Clinical Psychologist

to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in

Colorado Springs, CO .

Employment Status: Part Time

Compensation:

This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.

Schedule:

Part Time, BH that can travel 2 weeks a Month to all states as needed within Region 3 to include WI, WY, ND, SC, CO, NE, TX, OK, KS, IA, MN. Candidate must live near a major airport in Region 3.

Clinical Psychologist

must have and meet the following:

The Colorado Springs, CO VA facility provides the patient with the option for either a male or female Clinical Psychologist, according to patient comfort during sensitive examinations. This posting is specifically for a

Male Clinical Psychologist

to fulfill staffing needs.

Requirement Qualifications: • Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States. • Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or have completed a 2-year residency in one of these specialties. • Psychologists must have a PhD or PsyD with a focus on adult populations (Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology). Child-focused programs are not acceptable. • Psychologists must have graduated from an APA-accredited doctoral or post-doctoral program.

Certification:

Active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to excellent service. • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office and EMR platforms. • Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and decision-making. • Able to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in clinical settings. • Prior VA or C&P experience.

Job Summary:

Review mental health history documentation and conduct one-time, non-treatment behavioral health exams for Veterans.

Capture responses electronically during the exam; all documentation is submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability determinations.

Common assessment reasons include PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
