We are looking for a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to children from infancy through adolescence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric occupational therapy and a passion for working with children and their families. This role requires excellent clinical skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of children's developmental, sensory, motor, and functional skills Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with families to set appropriate goals Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to address identified needs and improve functional outcomes Implement evidence-based practices and stay current with the latest research and techniques in pediatric occupational therapy Address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care skills Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and specialists to ensure comprehensive care Educate and train parents, caregivers, and other team members on therapeutic techniques and strategies Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of interdisciplinary treatment plans Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed Conduct home and school visits to assess and address environmental factors affecting a child's performance Develop and implement group therapy sessions as appropriate Mentor and supervise occupational therapy assistants and students as needed Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of the occupational therapy program Qualifications
Required:
Master\'s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy Proficiency in conducting pediatric assessments and developing treatment plans Strong knowledge of child development, sensory integration, and pediatric conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and documentation Current CPR certification Preferred:
Additional certifications in specialized areas such as sensory integration, feeding therapy, or assistive technology Experience working in diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, and home health Bilingual
